Frank Gore will retire when he 'can't do it no more'

Frank Gore is entering his 15th year in the NFL, but the running back isn't thinking about the end of his career as the upcoming season approaches.

"I just go how I feel," Gore said on Saturday, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel's David Gurones. "If I feel I can’t do it no more, then I call it."

After suffering a foot sprain that limited him to 14 games in 2018, Gore signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills earlier this offseason. He joins a cluttered backfield alongside LeSean McCoy, rookie Devin Singletary, and T.J. Yeldon.

"It was the second year where they came after me," Gore said of the Bills. "They showed that they wanted me again. In this league, especially at my age, you want to be wanted. That’s a factor that (went into the decision), especially coming off an injury."

The 36-year-old led the Miami Dolphins in rushing yards last year with 722 on 156 carries. He's currently fourth all time with 14,478 rushing yards, just 521 yards behind Barry Sanders and 1,978 short of Walter Payton.
