76ers' Rubin rips judge for not allowing Meek Mill to travel to Toronto
Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill won't be allowed to join the 76ers in Toronto for Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinals series against the Raptors on Saturday night.
76ers co-owner Michael Rubin took to Instagram on Friday to call out judge Genece Brinkley for not granting Mill's request to attend the game.
Brinkley sentenced Mill to two-to-four years in a state prison in 2017 after a failed drug test and noncompliance with a court-ordered travel restriction. He was released on bail last April and immediately flown via helicopter to Wells Fargo Center for Game 5 of the Sixers' first-round series against the Miami Heat.
Mill and Rubin recently launched the Reform Alliance, an organization that lobbies for changes to probation and parole laws.
