Rare Ty Cobb baseball card sells for over $500K at auction

A Ty Cobb baseball card released over 100 years ago was auctioned off for $504,000, according to TMZ Sports.

The 1915 Cracker Jack card, which was sold by Heritage Auctions, received a nine-out-of-10 rating on the Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) scale. It's one of only three cards of its kind to receive a "Mint 9" rating.

The most expensive baseball card ever sold was a 1909-11 T206 Honus Wagner card, which was auctioned off for $3.12 million in 2016.
