New York signs Corinne Schroeder to 2-year extension
PWHL New York and goaltender Corinne Schroeder have agreed on a two-year contract extension, the team announced Tuesday.
"Corinne has definitely proven that she belongs among the world's elite at her position," general manager Pascal Daoust said. "Beyond her physical presence and athleticism, her relentless determination to improve every day on and off the ice and become the best version of herself makes her a key player in our pursuit of excellence and championship."
Schroeder was 7-7 in 15 appearances this season with one shutout and a .930 save percentage, which ranked second among qualified goalies. The 24-year-old was named one of three nominees for the inaugural PWHL Goaltender of the Year award.
New York drafted Schroeder 33rd overall in the 2023 draft.
