Weather conditions result in 100-yard par 4 at Byron Nelson, changed to par 3 after ace
Anybody looking to lower their golf handicap should head to the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament.
Due to a downpour of rain on Friday, PGA officials decided that the course's Hole 14 would be played as a 100-yard par 4.
Due to unplayable fairway due to rain on #14 @attbyronnelson, the par-4 hole will play roughly at 100 yards in R2. Still a par-4. #PGATour

An added four inches of rain required officials to move the tee box up to a playable surface, allowing competitors to tee off from 100 yards out.
Some golfers are already benefiting from the opportunity, dropping hole-in-ones while they can.
Call it whatever type of bird you want.

Following Woodland's hole-in-one, though, the PGA changed the hole to a par 3 for Friday's round.
The decision has now been made to play the 14th hole as a par-3 during the second round @attbyronnelson. #PGATour
