Report: John Daly TV series in the works starring Kevin James
John Daly's life story is reportedly being turned into a television series.
Kevin James, best known for his role on the long-running sitcom "The King of Queens," is set to star as Daly in a new limited series from Village Roadshow based on the life of the iconic golfer, according to Deadline's Justin Kroll.
James' brother and fellow "The King of Queens" star Gary Valentine and two-time Emmy winner Rory Rosegarten are among the executive producers on the series.
James is no stranger to portraying sports figures: He starred as Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton in the 2022 movie "Home Team" and played a NASCAR crew chief in the Netflix series "The Crew."
Daly joined the PGA TOUR in 1991, winning the PGA Championship that same year. The 58-year-old has 19 professional wins, including five on the PGA TOUR and three on the European Tour.
