Last year's result
It's been three years since the PGA TOUR made its annual stop in Canada due to the travel restrictions around the COVID-19 pandemic. The last time out was 2019 with Rory McIlroy claiming a dramatic win thanks to an outrageous final-round 61 to claim the title at Hamilton Golf and Country Club.
McIlroy's first tournament ever in Canada saw him finish with a total of 258 to set a new record for the 118-year-old event. The final tally was enough for a whopping seven-shot triumph over Webb Simpson and Shane Lowry. It was the sixth national open trophy of his storied career and 16th victory on the PGA TOUR.
Adam Hadwin claimed low Canadian honors with final-round 70 to sit 10 strokes behind McIlroy.

Course Info
St. George's last hosted the Canadian Open in 2010 with Carl Pettersson winning the trophy at 14-under. The Swede torched the classic layout with a 10-under 60 before closing with a 3-under 67 for the victory. While the traditional setup can yield plenty of birdies, the tree-lined course requires accuracy both off the tee and on approach.
The Toronto-area course plays to a par of 70 at just over 7,000 yards for the PGA TOUR. Success on the long par 4's are the key to scoring at St. George's with seven measuring over 450 yards. The two closing holes will set the scene for what could be a dramatic finish, as the 486-yard 17th and 465-yard finishing hole are two of the toughest the players will see in Canada.
