The drama between Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka has taken over the golfing world in recent months, and this week at the U.S. Open is no different.

Despite sitting five shots behind Koepka after Round 1, DeChambeau rallied and now finds himself just two off the lead and three clear of his rival following a third-round 68.

Following his Saturday round, DeChambeau opened up about the rivalry, praising the environment it's created on the course.

"I love it. I think it's so much fun," DeChambeau said, according to ASAP Sports. "People think that it annoys me. If anything, it just creates a great atmosphere for golf."

However, the rivalry wasn't always fun for DeChambeau, who wasn't initially pleased with fans yelling "Brooksy" when he was teeing off. But the defending U.S. Open champion hasn't only learned how to deal with the attention but is now thriving in it.

"At first I didn't really know how to handle it," DeChambeau said. "You're kind of thrown into a situation. But now I enjoy it. I think it's great. You've got to embrace it. There's going to be a Team Bryson, Team Brooks out there, and hey, keep it up, I'm happy about it. I'm excited that one day we can eventually get paired up and play together. It would be fun."

With DeChambeau chasing the leaders with the third-last group on Sunday, one can expect the crowd to be just as raucous as they were Saturday for the long-hitting 27-year-old.
