Jordan Spieth canned a 55-footer for eagle on his final hole to shoot a 9-under 63 on Thursday and grab a share of the first-round lead at the AT&T Byron Nelson.

The Texas native felt right at home at TPC Craig Ranch, located roughly 30 miles north of downtown Dallas and hosting the Byron Nelson for the first time.

He started the day with a birdie on No. 1 and went on for the first bogey-free round of his Byron Nelson career - a tournament he made his PGA TOUR debut at as a 16-year-old.

Spieth's lone eagle of the day vaulted him into the top spot alongside J.J. Spaun.
