Stewart Cink held on to his whopping five-shot lead after shooting a 2-under 69 in Round 3 of the RBC Heritage, and he set the tournament's 54-hole scoring record in the process.

The 47-year-old also set the event's 36-hole scoring record with his back-to-back rounds of 63 at Harbour Town Golf Links. Although he didn't replicate the performances during his opening two rounds, Cink's three-birdie outing on Saturday was enough to stay well ahead of Collin Morikawa with 18 holes remaining.

If he can hang on to win for a third time at Harbour Town, it will be the veteran's second victory of the season and eighth of his career. He would also join Bryson DeChambeau as the only other two-time winner during the 2020-21 PGA TOUR season.

Coincidentally, Cink's first career PGA TOUR win came in 1997, the same year Morikawa - his playing partner for the final round - was born.

Here's the top of the leaderboard going into Sunday:

Place Player To Par R3 Score
1 Stewart Cink -18 69
2 Collin Morikawa -13 67
3 Emiliano Grillo -12 69
T4 Matt Wallace -11 65
T4 Sungjae Im -11 69
T6 Webb Simpson -10 64
T6 Matt Fitzpatrick -10 68
T6 Harold Varner III -10 69
T6 Corey Conners -10 72

Morikawa made four birdies over his final six holes to shoot 67 and get himself into Sunday's final pairing.

Corey Conners, who played alongside Cink on Saturday, struggled compared to his first two rounds of 67 and 64. The Canadian shot 72, and he's the only player currently inside the top 20 who posted an over-par score in Round 3.
