The PGA Tour remains in Dublin, Ohio, for the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Thrilling performances by Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas in the Workday Charity Open last week were the perfect appetizer ahead of this week's event at Jack Nicklaus' venue, where one of the best fields in PGA Tour history is set to compete.

Nicklaus will host the 132-man group for his annual invitational event at the course he built. Tiger Woods, a five-time Memorial champion, will make his long-awaited return to the PGA Tour after a five-month break.

When: July 16-19

The field

This field is stacked. How stacked, you ask? With 27 of the world's top 30 ranked players taking part, the 2020 Memorial is poised to break numerous strength-of-field records, according to rankings guru Nosferatu.

Barring any last-minute changes, this week's field will be the best ever for a regular PGA Tour event; it's set to be stronger than the field at any FedEx Cup playoff event and the last eight Masters.

Woods, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, and Brooks Koepka headline a field giving off major-championship vibes. Patrick Cantlay will have his hands full trying to defend his Memorial title, especially with a new and improved Bryson DeChambeau looking primed for his second win at Muirfield.

The course

Muirfield Village is a 7,456-yard, par-72 course widely regarded as one of the best stops on Tour. As Morikawa and Thomas showed last week, elite iron play is the key to success (and a major reason Tiger's won here five times).

The setup will be slightly different than it was for the Workday Charity Open. The rough will be a touch thicker, placing a greater emphasis on hitting fairways, and the greens will play slightly faster. Last week's slower greens allowed organizers to select pin positions with a little more slope, making the greens slightly more difficult to putt. At faster speeds and with less slope around the cup, expect the greens to be tougher to hit but easier to make putts on.
