Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio, was selected as the replacement venue for the canceled John Deere Classic and will now host back-to-back PGA Tour events, the Tour announced Tuesday.

Workday will be the title sponsor for the replacement tournament set to run from July 9-12. That's the week prior to the Memorial Tournament, the annual PGA Tour event hosted by Jack Nicklaus that will be held at the same course.

The new tournament will be a full-field event consisting of the standard 156 players and will be contested without spectators. The first five events on the schedule will now be played without fans.

The Memorial, which runs from July 16-19, is an invitational with 120 players in the field and hopes to have limited spectators on site.

The John Deere Classic was canceled after state restrictions in Illinois prohibited fans from attending and the tournament director decided it wouldn't be worth hosting the event without spectators.

The PGA Tour remains on track to restart its 2019-20 season on June 11 at the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas.
