Several PGA Tour pros and amateurs will compete in a 54-hole fundraising tournament next Tuesday to Thursday, according to Golf Channel's Brentley Romine. The event will take place at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas.

The 72-player field will include Tour pros Viktor Hovland, Scottie Scheffler, and Harry Higgs, as well as former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and former NBA guard Deron Williams.

Jordan Spieth is expected to attend but may not be able to compete due to a PGA Tour Player Advisory Council meeting Tuesday. If he doesn't take part he will still be involved, likely playing as an unofficial marker in one of the featured groups.

The competition is for members only and carries a $250 entry fee. The top professional finishers will receive cash payouts from the $27,000 purse, while the rest of the proceeds will be donated to the club's caddies who have been out of work due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Maridoe embraces the social-distancing responsibilities and is particularly suited to meet all the necessary criteria to have a safe and healthy tournament," club owner Albert Huddleston said. "This was a beautiful opportunity to contribute to the Maridoe Samaritan Fund and help those caddies who have been affected."

Huddleston added that he hopes this tournament can "send a message" that golf tournaments can be played safely with social-distancing orders in mind.

The tournament will be closed to the media and public.
