Brooks Koepka has added the Genesis Invitational and Honda Classic to his early 2020 schedule after spending the offseason recovering from knee surgery, according to Golf Channel's Will Gray.

The Genesis Invitational, held at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, will be his first start of the new year on the PGA Tour. He'll play in next week's Abu Dhabi event on the European Tour, then the Saudi Arabia tournament two weeks later prior to returning stateside.

Koepka's first and only appearance at Riviera resulted in a missed cut in 2017.

His commitment to the Honda Classic (Feb. 27) in Palm Beach, Fla. will lead to Koepka playing in his third straight event on the schedule, assuming he appears in the WGC-Mexico Championship, which he's participated in four straight times when healthy. He was a runner-up at the 2019 Honda Classic.

The No. 1 player in the world's early schedule is expected to look like this:

Abu Dhabi Championship: Jan. 16-19
Saudi International: Jan. 30 - Feb. 2
Genesis Invitational: Feb. 13-16
WGC-Mexico: Feb. 20-23 (expected)
Honda Classic: Feb. 27 - Mar. 1

Koepka hasn't teed it up since withdrawing from the CJ Cup in South Korea. His recovery from knee surgery forced him to miss the Presidents Cup in December.
