The 2018 World Long Drive champion, Maurice Allen, has become the first person to hit a golf ball over Niagara Falls, achieving the feat that John Daly failed to accomplish in 2005.
From the same location as Daly's attempt, the 38-year-old Allen launched a drive - on his fourth attempt - that carried more than 340 yards through the thick fog from the Canadian side of the falls to the American side.
Allen holds the Guinness World Record for fastest golf ball speed at 211 mph, according to his driver provider, Krank Golf. His longest drive in competition was 459 yards.
