Tiger Woods is hoping the early bird gets the Claret Jug.
In a video uploaded to Nike's Instagram story on Monday, Tiger said he was awake at 1 a.m. ET to prepare for the time difference between North America's East Coast and Northern Ireland, where the Open Championship will be held later this month at Royal Portrush Golf Club.
The 15-time major champion is known as an early riser. He awoke at 3:45 a.m. for a 9 a.m. tee time at the final round of this year's Masters, an event he won for the fifth time.
