The tension between Jordan Spieth and caddie Michael Greller reached another level on Friday, as the 2015 U.S. Open champion hit a rake lying on the lip of a bunker.

"Oh, it hit the rake," Spieth said immediately after his shot. "Oh, there's a rake there."

Greller, sounding unsurprised off camera, responded with the obvious: "There's a rake there."

Spieth ended up making bogey on the par-4 second hole but still shot a 2-under 69 to finish the day in a tie for 23rd.

Both parties can be blamed for not identifying the rake sitting on the lip of the bunker. However, this incident comes a day after Spieth sounded off on Greller for two incorrect yardages in Round 1, and social media is beginning to fear for Greller's job.
