Na wins Charles Schwab Challenge for 3rd PGA Tour title
Kevin Na cruised to a four-shot victory at the Charles Schwab Challenge on Sunday for his third win on the PGA Tour.
The 35-year-old entered the final round with a two-stroke lead that was never in jeopardy. He rattled off four front-nine birdies and played his final eight holes at 2-under.
In typical Na fashion, he walked in a birdie on No. 18 to shoot a 4-under 66, sealing his second win in less than a year.
His four-shot triumph at 13-under par is the largest margin of victory at Colonial Country Club since 2005.
In addition to the $1.3-million winner's check, Na was awarded a fully restored 1973 Dodge Challenger for his efforts. He immediately gifted the vintage muscle car to his caddie, Kenny Harms, in his post-round interview.
Tony Finau was the closest competitor to Na's winning score. He shot a 2-under 68 to finish alone in second place. The result marks Finau's 22nd top-10 finish over his last three years on Tour, the most of any golfer without a win over that span.
Andrew Putnam (8-under), C.T. Pan (8-under), and Jonas Blixt (7-under) round out the top five.
Jordan Spieth ran out of magic with his putter on Sunday. He lost 1.7 strokes on the greens en route to a 2-over 72 while dropping into a tie for eighth.
Canada's Mackenzie Hughes, who played in the final pairing with Na, shot 72 to join Spieth in the group finishing at 5-under.
