Despite finally getting underway after a seven-hour rain delay on Thursday, the opening round of the Genesis Open was suspended with Jordan Spieth and Sung-hoon Kang sharing the lead at 5-under par.

Spieth played 12 holes upon the restart, while Kang completed 14 at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Tiger Woods never made it onto the course, as he was set to tee off in the afternoon. He'll start his first round Friday morning.

Play resumed at 4:40 p.m. ET.
