The Tiger Woods-Phil Mickelson showdown in Las Vegas was far from a smooth operation, as a technical issue with the Bleacher Report Live stream led to the pay-per-view broadcast being made free for everyone.

Comcast, one of the largest cable providers in the United States, is now issuing a credit to customers who paid for the event.

"Comcast will proactively issue a $19.99 credit to any Xfinity TV customer who purchased 'The Match' pay-per-view event," Comcast said in a statement, according to A.J. Perez of USA Today. "We hope Turner and Bleacher Report will do the same given that the event was made available by them for free on The Bleacher Report website."

Spectrum is also issuing a credit to their customers, according to ESPN's Darren Rovell.

The issues cropped up right before Tiger and Phil teed off, as the app hosting the match gave purchasing customers an error message rather than a stream.

"We experienced a technical issue on Bleacher Report Live that impacted user access to 'The Match,'" Turner spokesman Nate Smeltz told Rovell. "We took a number of steps to resolve the matter with our main priority being to deliver the content to those who purchased the event."

Turner and Bleacher Report have yet to indicate if they will issue refunds to customers.
