Patrick Reed compared the dominant European duo of Tommy Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari to his partnership with Jordan Spieth in an interview with Fred Couples on SiriusXM radio on Wednesday.

"They showed some amazing golf and they did it in such a great way," Reed said. "It reminded me of whenever we were going out there in my first Ryder Cup and Jordan and I went and ham-and-egged it. It was unbelievable kind of seeing how they just made putt after putt and that went for the whole team."

The praise comes in the wake of controversial comments made by Reed regarding former partner Spieth and Team USA captain Jim Furyk.

Couples did not question Reed about the comments he made earlier in the week.

Reed and Tiger Woods were paired together for two sessions versus Fleetwood and Molinari, losing both matches handily.

The 2018 Masters winner also said the European duo "seemed to hit every fairway, every green and they never missed a putt," according to Golf.com.

With the PGA Tour in its fall season, Reed will take three weeks off before returning to action for the World Golf Championship event in China.
