European pranksters
Members of the European Ryder Cup team had some time to kill during the rain-delayed BMW Championship, so Rory McIlroy, Henrik Stenson, Ian Poulter, and Tommy Fleetwood decided to have some fun. Aside from cracking jokes at one another, the foursome convinced captain Thomas Bjorn that Team Europe needs $20,000 cryotherapy chambers for each member. This five-minute video is worth the watch.
One confused Aussie
Marc Leishman, the defending champion of the BMW Championship, was absolutely befuddled when asked an odd question during his press conference. With that said, do you know what you don't know?
Pieters snapping clubs, again
Thomas Pieters shows his emotions on the course through intense anger toward his clubs. This week in Switzerland, his putter was the victim after making a nine on a par 5.
Earlier in the season, he used his neck to snap an iron.
At the 2016 Open Championship, Pieters broke an iron over his knee and threw it into a bush. This seems like an expensive habit for an amateur to pick up.
Na's putting adventures
Kevin Na is not the most exciting golfer, but he's certainly one of the most interesting, especially on the greens. During Monday's final round at the BMW Championship, Na produced two head-turning moments within an hour of each other. Here, he displays extreme confidence running after the ball as it drops in the cup.
That confidence went out the window as he left this putt just a tad short. Putting is hard, even for pros.
Extremely long drives
The 2018 World Long Drive Championship took place this past week in Oklahoma and golf balls were destroyed. Maurice Allen took home the men's title with this monstrous 393-yard bomb. That poor ball.
Allen, who has a flair for the dramatic, was beyond amped up when he unleashed another 393-yard drive to advance to the finals. Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson look like short hitters compared to this beast.
Phillis Meti was crowned the women's champion for the third time after she uncorked a 313-yard drive with this powerful, flawless swing.
