Man has finger bitten off during brawl at golf course

A violent brawl broke out at a golf course in Plymouth, Mass., on Friday, leading to one man having part of his finger bitten off.

A call came into 911 around 6:30 p.m. reporting that two men had gotten into a fight at Southers Marsh Golf Club, according to WCVB-TV. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they discovered the victim's finger had been bitten off to his knuckle.

The rest of the victim's finger was placed on ice and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A 47-year-old man was arrested and is facing a charge of mayhem. The report states that it's not clear if alcohol played a role in the incident.
