Brandt Snedeker followed up his historic Round 1 with a 3-under 67 Friday to take a two-shot lead into the weekend at the Wyndham Championship.

The 2012 FedEx Cup champion was slow out of the gates, making the turn at 1-over before carding an eagle and two birdies on the back nine at Sedgefield Country Club.

Snedeker is now 14-under par and his 36-hole total of 126 is the lowest on the PGA Tour this season.

Alone in second is D.A. Points, who has made one cut in his previous 16 starts on Tour. His back-to-back 64s are the two lowest rounds of his season.

Sergio Garcia made his first cut in the United States since The Players in May. His Friday 65 puts him five shots behind Snedeker.

Henrik Stenson gave himself a slim chance to defend his Wyndham title by shooting 65 in Round 2 and now sits in a tie for 15th.

Plenty of recognizable names barely snuck inside the 3-under cutline, with Hideki Matsuyama, Joaquin Niemann, and Rafa Cabrera Bello all narrowly making it to the weekend.

The shot of the day belonged to Johnson Wagner (-4), who stood in the middle of the 18th fairway outside the cutline. He proceeded to dunk one for eagle to make the cut, giving himself a great chance of retaining his PGA Tour card for next season.
