Woodland maintains lead, sets 36-hole PGA Championship record

Gary Woodland posted a 4-under 66 in Round 2 of the PGA Championship on Friday, giving him the lowest 36-hole total in the event's history at 130 strokes.

Woodland (-10) was able to keep pace with the birdie barrage at Bellerive Country Club, with a number of players going extremely low.

Brooks Koepka (-8) and Charl Schwartzel (-7) both shot 63 on Friday, tying the lowest score in PGA Championship history.

Kevin Kisner, who played alongside Woodland in Rounds 1 and 2, fired a 6-under 64 to sit only one shot off the lead.

According to Data Golf, Bellerive is playing nearly two shots easier at the midway point on Friday compared to Thursday's first round.

Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Thomas will look to take advantage of the easier conditions Friday afternoon.
