After a promising start featured two birdies to kick off his round, Tiger Woods ultimately unraveled Sunday at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, carding a 3-over 73 to finish even par for the tournament.

It marked the second consecutive round of 73 for Woods, who put himself in position to make a run at career win No. 80 by entering the weekend at 6-under.

Woods was shaky on the front nine Sunday, registering three birdies and two bogeys, but then ran into major problems on the back, hacking away to the tune of three bogeys and two doubles to close out his showing in Akron, where he had previously won eight times.

From here, Woods will gear up for next weeks PGA Championship at Bellerive.
