U.S. Border Patrol agents in Texas stopped a marijuana smuggling attempt involving golf bags on Friday.
The agents were patrolling the Rio Grade near Brownsville when they say they encountered several people swimming from the U.S. riverbank to Mexico. After searching the area, the agents found several abandoned golf bags stuffed with 50 pounds of marijuana - an estimated value of $40,000.
