Steph Curry to return to Web.com Tour event in August

For the second straight year, two-time NBA MVP and noted golf nut Stephen Curry will play in the Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae, the Web.com Tour announced Monday.

Curry received a sponsor's exemption for the event last summer and shot a respectable 8-over par in two rounds.

The Ellie Mae Classic tees off Aug. 9 in Hayward, Calif.
