"Last week in golf" is a look back at the compelling, funny, and often strange stories from around the golf world over the past seven days.

Hockey jerseys

It was Canadian Open week north of the border, and PGA Tour pros were showing support for their favorite NHL teams, or in Dustin Johnson's case, for his favorite future father-in-law.

Mackenzie Hughes handed his Toronto Maple Leafs jersey to a lucky fan on No. 7 at Glen Abbey, which was also referred to as "The Rink" during the week.

Ryan Palmer showed off his slap shot while repping the Dallas Stars.

Huge Nashville fan Brandt Snedeker rocked a yellow Predators jersey.

Reed's rant

Patrick Reed ripped into a camera crew at the European Open in Germany. He was not a fan of the guy who was rattling change in his pocket.

DeChambeau's demons

It was not a good week for Bryson DeChambeau across the pond. The video below surfaced of him struggling on the range at the Open Championship and those same mental demons got the better of him at the European Open, as he shot 5-over on the last four holes to give away the tournament.

Old guys at the Old Course

The Senior Open Championship took place at the Old Course at St. Andrews. Miguel Angel Jimenez won by a shot over Bernhard Langer, while 68-year-old Tom Watson remarkably shot his age on Friday.

Also, Mark James went out of bounds on the iconic road hole after hitting a seagull with his drive. Tough luck.

Shank week

In a spin-off of the famous "Shark Week" television program, "Shank Week" was celebrated across social media. And who better to teach a course on shanks then PGA Tour pro Adam Schenk?
