Hughes, Taylor among handful of Canadians to make cut at Glen Abbey
With two rounds completed at the Canadian Open, only seven Canucks remain with a chance to win on home soil and end a 63-year drought.
Winnipeg's Nick Taylor leads all Canadians heading into the weekend, sitting at 9-under in a tie for 10th. His best finish at the event was a T53 result in 2008 as an amateur.
Mackenzie Hughes of Dundas, Ontario is 6-under after Round 2. He was the low Canadian in the tournament last year.
Ben Silverman (8-under) and David Hearn (4-under) are the other two PGA Tour members to make the cut.
Web.com Tour players Roger Sloan (7-under) and Ryan Yip (4-under) also succeeded in making the weekend.
Vancouver's Chris Crisologo was the only amateur to make the cut after two impressive rounds of 68-69 put him at 7-under, tied for 23rd.

Highest-ranked Canadian Adam Hadwin failed to make the cut after shooting 70-71 in his two rounds. The 30-year-old could not convert an 11-foot birdie putt on No. 18 to get inside the 4-under cutline.
There were a total of 21 Canadians who teed it up this week, with 14 of them heading home early.
