Dustin Johnson shot 4-under 68 to begin his quest to finally claim a Canadian Open title Thursday.
Johnson is a two-time runner-up at Canada's national open, one that would be extra special to win due to his connection to Wayne Gretzky's family.
Despite sitting at a respectable 4-under, DJ did not play particularly well. He only hit 10 of 18 greens in regulation, as a hole-out eagle and a chip-in birdie saved his round.
Johnson sits five back of clubhouse leader Robert Garrigus.
