Justin Rose is the new leader halfway through Friday at the Fort Worth Invitational after carding a 6-under 64 in second-round action.

Rose made seven birdies on the day, highlighted by his chip-in on No. 7 to move to 11-under.

The Englishman would give a stroke back on the next hole, getting him into the clubhouse at 10-under with a three-shot lead.

He gained over three strokes on approach shots for the second straight day and stated his second round was "as good as I've played in a long time."

Brooks Koepka actually one-upped Rose with a 7-under 63, soaring up the leaderboard to sit in a tie for second after two rounds.

As Koepka is gearing up to defend his U.S. Open title, he said he's "knocking on the door" of being 100 percent healthy. This statement comes after shooting his second 63 in his last three rounds, with the other occurring in the final round of The Players.

Japan's Satoshi Kodaira also sits at 7-under after Friday's early second rounds.
