Simpson pockets $1.98M for Players Championship victory

It turned out to be a very productive - and lucrative - week for Webb Simpson, as the 32-year-old will take home $1.98 million for his win at The Players Championship on Sunday.
Simpson's 18-under total put him four shots ahead of the trio of Charl Schwartzel, Jimmy Walker, and Xander Schauffele. Those three will each take home $821,333 for their finishes, while Jason Day and Jason Dufner pocket $418,000 apiece after tying for fifth.
