Tiger springs into contention at Memorial with 4-under 68
Tiger Woods is officially on the prowl at the Memorial, as the five-time winner of the event fired a 4-under 68 to launch himself into contention for career win No. 80.
Woods sits at 9-under for the tournament in a tie for eighth place, five strokes back of leader Bryson DeChambeau.
Here's a look at his scorecard, as he finished with two bogeys in the final three holes.

Woods continues to strike the ball well, but was once again let down by his putter. The 14-time major champion left multiple birdie tries short to start his round, and after gaining steam with three birdies and an eagle over five holes, Tiger lost his momentum to close out moving day.
Considering he started the tournament with a front-nine 39 in Round 1, Tiger's leap into contention is certainly impressive. But, he'll have to play a complete 18 holes to surpass the big names ahead of him on the leaderboard come Sunday.
