A wayward tee shot on the 16th hole could have been Tiger Woods' undoing during the opening round at the Valspar Championship on Thursday, but instead, Tiger provided one of the shots of the day by punching out from the trees and saving par.

However, one of those trees gave Woods a bit of trouble, as Tiger whacked his left hand during his follow-through, prompting some questions about his health following the round.

Despite the serious-looking blow, Tiger said he was fine, and that it was actually his forearm and not his hand that hurt afterward, according to ESPN's Bob Harig.

Woods will be looking to improve on his opening-round 70 on Friday.
