PGA picks: Fleetwood grabs 1st win in U.S. at Honda Classic

The west coast swing of the PGA Tour ended in very successful fashion for our picks, as 50-1 longshot Bubba Watson came away with the win.

That's three wins through seven events and a red-hot start to the 2018 calendar.

The Tour heads across the country to Florida for the Honda Classic this week, with top players such as Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia, and Tiger Woods headlining the field.

Here are the golfers to target this week:

Favorite to watch (odds 25-1 or less)

Tommy Fleetwood

The English star is among the best ball-strikers in the world, a talent that will give him a huge advantage around the challenging PGA National layout. With forecasts calling for wind and minimal precipitation, the conditions are expected to be firm and fast, something Fleetwood is more than comfortable with thanks to his time on the European Tour. He's won all over the world, but the 27-year-old has yet to notch a victory in the United States. That changes this week.

Odds to win: 25-1
Top-5 odds: 5-1

Second tier (odds 25-1 or greater)

Ollie Schniederjans

Schniederjans is also one of the best ball-strikers on Tour and is set for a breakthrough performance in Florida. He's been hot and cold over the past two months, mixing in a seventh- and third-place finish with two missed cuts. The former Georgia Tech star is back in his comfort zone on the east coast and will be in contention all week at PGA National.

Odds to win: 45-1
Top-5 odds: 10-1

Long shot (odds 50-1 or greater)

Brandt Snedeker

It appears Snedeker is fully back after a lengthy absence due to injury, as the veteran has posted two straight top-25 finishes on Tour. He hasn't played at PGA National since 2011, but the 37-year-old's steady play and ability to avoid bogeys should play well at the difficult track. He's third on Tour in bogey avoidance and is first in scrambling. At 50-1, he's worth a bet this week.

Odds to win: 50-1
Top-5 odds: 9-1

Super long shot (odds 80-1 or greater)

Keegan Bradley

While he missed the cut last week at Riviera, Bradley's game has been trending in the right direction with three top-five finishes this season. He's missed three straight cuts at the Honda Classic but does have a solid showing in the past with a 12th-place posting in 2014 to his name. Bradley is 11th on Tour this season in strokes-gained tee-to-green and should make noise in south Florida this week.

Odds to win: 80-1
Top-5 odds: 14-1

Hit this bet, buy a car (odds 125-1 or greater)

Wesley Bryan

Bryan's last two starts have resulted in two missed cuts, but the 27-year-old showed last year that he can make his way around PGA National in fine fashion. Bryan scorched the difficult layout for a 64 to open play, before eventually finishing in fourth place. He may not be in his best form, but an impressive record on this course at 150-1 is too good a bet to pass up.

Odds to win: 150-1
Top-5 odds: 28-1
