Thomas has psychotic 3rd round at Phoenix Open

It was simply an insane round of golf for Justin Thomas.

Thomas was four back of the leaders entering Saturday's third round of the Phoenix Open, but quickly ascended the leaderboard with six straight birdies to begin his day.

The reigning PGA Tour Player of the Year would bogey the seventh, posting aa opening-nine 30 to put himself in great position for his second win of the season.

Thomas, however, put together an incredible stretch of scores beginning at the par-4 11th hole with a bogey. The 24-year-old would go 4-over par on his six to shoot a closing-nine 41.

The low point came in front of the inebriated fans at the par-3 16th by four-putting from 30 feet for double-bogey.

After signing his scorecard for 71, Thomas had some fun with the disappointing finish:
