While many want to see Tiger Woods back playing, Justin Rose feels the game is in good shape with or without the legend.

Woods created lot of buzz this week by posting another swing video on Sunday, before announcing he's been cleared to resume full golf activities one day later. Rose, however, thinks the new, younger generation is carrying the sport very well in Woods' absence.

"I think golf has found itself in a really healthy spot without Tiger at the moment," Rose told sport24. "So many young players have come through and filled the void. I think to have him back is just a bonus. I don't think golf is desperate for him back."

Woods, a 14-time major champ, played just three competitive rounds in 2017, eventually undergoing another back operation in April. He's still been updating his progress on social media, though, leading many to believe a return to competitive golf is on the horizon.

"Everyone just wants to see a healthy Tiger Woods," the Englishman added. "It's almost gone past the point of thinking, ‘Oh we all really want to see Tiger win 18 majors.' I think that we want him back, just because of what's he's meant to the sport for the last 20 years."
