Watch: Mickelson stuffs approach from under tree en route to birdie

It was simply vintage Phil Mickelson on Sunday at the Safeway Open.

After missing the fairway at the par-4 13th hole, Mickelson followed up a poor drive with an unbelievable recovery shot from under a tree, stuffing his approach shot to 5 feet.

The five-time major champion would make the putt for his third birdie of the round.
