Watch: Mickelson nearly holes 141-foot pitch to make Tour Championship

Phil Mickelson knew what he needed to do.
The 47-year-old required an eagle at the par-5 18th to grab the necessary points in order to qualify for the Tour Championship next week at East Lake. Mickelson played his second shot just left the putting surface, leaving him a 141-foot eagle pitch that had to find the bottom of the cup.
The 42-time PGA Tour winner executed a brilliant pitch-and-run that was tracking towards the cup, but hit the pin and rolled by the hole.
Mickelson would make the birdie putt to likely finish one stroke out of the playoffs.
