Hughes cards steady 69, stays inside FedEx projected cutline

Mackenzie Hughes maintained his steady showing at the BMW Championship on Saturday, carding a 69 on moving day at Conway Farms.
After firing 67 on Thursday and 68 on Friday, Hughes' three-day total slots him at 9-under for the tournament, good for a tie in 15th place. More importantly, though, Hughes projects to finish well inside the top-30 cutline to advance to next week's Tour Championship.
Hughes started his day with two birdies in his first three holes, but quickly gave a stroke back with a bogey on No. 4 to set up a front-nine 33. After bogeying the 10th, the 26-year-old earned a birdie on 14 to card an even 36 on the back half.
