Watch: Spieth chugs from Claret Jug after Open victory

Just a few hours after claiming his third major championship, Jordan Spieth celebrated in customary style by taking a swig from the Claret Jug as friend Justin Thomas looked on.

It's unclear what was inside the trophy, but whatever it was apparently tasted "fantastic."

Spieth admitted during his victory speech he was worried he may have jinxed himself by drinking out of the trophy after Zach Johnson won the 144th Open Championship.

"I was able to drink wine out of it when Zach Johnson won it two years ago and a lot of people told me that was bad luck," Spieth said Sunday, according to Scott Allen of The Washington Post. "I started to believe them a bit through nine holes today."
