Justin Rose enjoyed America's premier horse race back in May, attending the Kentucky Derby with his wife, Kate. Now, the Olympic gold medalist is taking in Britain's biggest day in racing at the Royal Ascot.
"Days like today, they make you proud to be British," Rose told Nick Luck of NBCSN. "Here with some friends of mine, who are in the racing business, and just a great spectacle."
Rose and his wife will be sitting in the Royal Enclosure Saturday afternoon, which requires men to wear a waistcoat and a tie, along with a black or gray top hat.
"I've been here with a bunch of friends before, but never in a top hat and tails. This is the first time I've been able to wear this, so it's been a new experience for me," he said.
The Englishman will also present the trophy after the fifth race of the day.
