Marc Leishman proved Friday at the Travelers Championship that not all birdies are made the same way.

Leishman pulled his tee shot into the thick rough on the left, which forced the Aussie to pitch his second shot back into the fairway, leaving a 105-yard approach for his third into the par-4 17th.

The 33-year-old knocked his wedge onto the green, and watched his ball spin back into the hole for an improbable birdie.

After a first-round 69, Leishman posted a 2-under-par 68 on Friday, and sits at 3-under par for the tournament.
