Nicklaus congratulates Langer on beating his senior major record
It's rare that a Jack Nicklaus record falls, but what's not surprising is the class that Nicklaus displays when it does occur.
After Bernhard Langer won the Senior PGA Championship on Sunday for a record ninth career senior major, the German received a well-deserved pat on the back from golf's greatest champion via his Twitter account:
Congratulations Bern! What a great win! I have always said that records are made to be broken, and congratulations on your ninth senior major. Now that you have won nine, go win some more and make the record harder to beat. Barbara sends her congratulations, too, and also sends her best to you and Vikki.
The two have a unique relationship, as it was Langer who put the green jacket on Nicklaus after his 1986 Masters triumph.
