Tony Romo will be in the lineup ... for a U.S. Open qualifier on Monday.
The United States Golf Association confirmed the retired quarterback is one of 117 entrants in a local U.S. Open qualifier, Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News reports.
An avid golfer, Romo dialed back his time on the greens as back problems persisted late in his NFL career. Romo announced his retirement from football April 4 in order to pursue a broadcasting career. His new work schedule allows for more visits to the links.
The U.S. Open will be held from June 15-18 in Erin, Wis., the state in which he grew up.
