3 players to watch this weekend at the Honda Classic

Rickie Fowler (-8)

Fowler hasn't won on tour since September 2015, and with other younger guys finding the winner's circle, it's time for Fowler to step up. The 28-year-old downsized his driver to 43.5 inches, and it's working for a player ranked 131st in driving accuracy. The switch hasn't diminished his distance significantly, as he's still averaging 293.7 yards through 36 holes.

Adam Scott (-3)

The defending champion hasn't been lights out, but he's been solid through two rounds at PGA National. Scott was inside the top 10 heading into "The Bear Trap" on Friday, but played the stretch in 2-over par. Scott hits it high and straight and generally plays well when it doesn't become a birdie-fest. Plus, the Aussie's last nine looked like a weather radar map and he still managed to sign autographs post-round.

Martin Kaymer (-5)

Kaymer didn't play his best on Friday at the Honda Classic, but still managed to post an even-par 70. The German can credit a superb short game in the second-round for keeping him in the tournament heading into the weekend. Like Scott, Kaymer is a ball striker who loves playing difficult golf courses - like PGA National.
