Jon Rahm began his third round on the back nine Saturday seven shots back of the leaders.
He birdied four of the first five holes, and then arrived to greet the uncivilized crowd at the par-3 16th.
For the third straight day, the Spaniard put on an Arizona State jersey with the name "Rhambo" on the back, paying homage to his alma mater and the local team.
The 22-year-old proceeded to hit his tee shot tight and brushed in the putt for birdie.
