Dufner would nearly hole the recovery and tap-in for a three at the par-3 island green 17th. The 2013 PGA champion would eventually defeat David Lingmerth in a playoff for his fourth PGA Tour win.
To commemorate his shot at the 71st hole of the event, the PGA West Stadium Course installed a plaque that reads "Escape from Alcatraz."
