Hanging around the top of the leaderboard all weekend, Sergio Garcia finally got his break Sunday, moving into a first-place tie with Brooks Koepka and ultimately prevailing in a one-hole playoff to win the AT&T Byron Nelson.

Garcia shot a 2-under 68 in the final round, while Koepka spoiled a record-tying, three-day score of 194 with a 1-over 71.

The win is Garcia's ninth on tour and his first since 2012, when he won the Wyndham Championship by two strokes. Garcia has now tied the legendary Seve Ballesteros for the most tour wins by a Spanish-born player.

Koepka sealed his fate by putting his tee shot in the water to start the playoff, while Garcia sat comfortably in the fairway.

Matt Kuchar finished third while Jordan Spieth fell down the leaderboard and out of contention with a final round of 74, good for an 18th-place tie.
